Todayyy I’m gonna talk about a few things I learned from this YouTube video my amazing friend sent to me. This thing called friendship ehn, e sweet die. Someone on Twitter said romance is overhyped and has too much PR. 100% agree.
Distinguish between what you can and can’t control. Things will not always go our way and that’s absolutely fine because Allah is Al-Hakeem so He’ll ALWAYS have our best interests. We may not know that at the time it’s happening to us. Maybe because we’re in survival mode and we’re just trying to get out of the situation. What if your patience and perseverance are a part of the test though? What if you decide to make that mental adjustment to create space to look for solace in Him rather than thinking of the “what if’s?”, or even worse, “if only…..”? Wouldn’t that be better for us? Easier said than done though. May Allah give us the ability to do that.
You need to define productivity personally for yourself. This one right hereeeee. Chile if you keep on “ticking your boxes” based on societal standards only, and not what you actually want you might acc live a miserable life. There’s nothing wrong if you’re fine with the way things are arranged, but if you aren’t and you want a detour, as long as it’s not Haram then there’s nothing wrong with that. This productivity thing can be VERY DRAINING. Like what is that please? I’m realizing that majority of my life has been centered around school & I think it’s the same for most of us.
You start nursery, primary, secondary school then uni back to back. Next thing you’re finishing uni and you’re like “okay what’s next?” because the first 21-22 years of your life have been planned already. Graduating next year In sha Allah (BsC Accounting loadingggg) and now I’m just wondering what productivity would be for me when I’m not a student. The thought is very terrifying but it’s also comforting to know that I get to start another part of my life Alhamdulillah. So my redefinition of productivity from now on will be in terms of my relationship with Allah. Whatever I do will either bring me closer to Him or take me farther away from Him. Allah has made Islam very easy Subhanallah. Love how you can constantly be in a state of worship when you’re doing everything for His sake. Character plays a major role. So if you love, love for His sake because He is Al-Wadud. When you advice, give just advice for His sake because he is Al-Adl. Learn to help others when you can. If you don’t have the financial resources to, then even your words and time will be more than enough.
More:
What got you here won’t get you there. Your strategy needs to change over time.
So much of life is literally just developing the tools and techniques to give yourself perspective when you lose it.
Pick the things you’ll be picky about. Not everyday “I don’t like this”. Loosen the grip a little bit pleaseeeeee. Don’t be afraid to experiment (as long as it’s not Haram abeg) and move things around.
People need different advice based on who they are, where they are and what their aspirations are.
The possibility of reinventing yourself should be exciting and not nerve wracking.
This is great advice indeed. May Allah help us all ❤️
Amazing as always😭❤️May Allah continue to increase you in knowledge my darling!
